Fabulous home with spectacular views. We were met by Chesney who was friendly, warm, and welcoming. The home is situated in a cul de sac which means we had very little traffic noise and felt wonderfully secluded and peaceful. It is a short walk down to a great little beach which can also be viewed from the balcony, which was awesome. The house has all the conveniences i.e. dishwashing machine, washing machine in the scullery area, a coffee maker with complimentary coffee pods, a well-stocked spice cupboard, and even an extra fridge and freezer if you're up for a longer stay. The place is very secure, and has a double garage for safe parking with direct access to the house. The deck is big and sunny while also offering great shade for al fresco dining and relaxing. The lounge-dining area is large and airy with high ceilings and an ambience which inspires family togetherness. All bedrooms have great sea views and ample cupboard space and lead onto a balcony where you could relax while taking in the sunrise... Our family enjoyed the many board games available as well as tuning into movies after a long day at the beach. Love, love, love this house and will definitely be back!

Felsensicht Holiday Home delivered beyond our expectations. Highly recommended: This home from home is perfectly situated on the holiday side of town. We witnessed dolphins, whales, kayakers, snorkelers, divers, swimmers, boats, birds and the most sublime view imaginable. Then we took a short walk down to the beach to take part ourselves. The accommodation is superb, perfectly maintained, and generous in every way. Thank you to Gail and Rene for opening your home to us and Chesney for your enthusiasm and kind introduction. We will be back.

Such an incredibly generous host. One feels as if one is arriving home! Everything one needs is at the house and the welcome pack includes milk, coffee, rusks etc, etc. We thought it was so kind and thoughtful. Wardrobes had hangers, all crockery and cutlery, board games, blankets - the list continues. An absolutely perfect weekend away - whales splashing in the ocean in front of the window, morning runs and swims. Wonderful terrace with great views. Gail has thought of absolutely everything. Hello, Gail and Rene, good to “meet” you via three nights at Felsensicht, and good to meet Felsensicht up close and personal. What an enjoyable period this was, made all the more so by staying in your lovely home. We much admired, too, the way that everything is so correctly done, and classy, and how you could leave us all those neat and clear instruction notes without ever sounding bossy! Not least, I for the first time meaningfully imbibe the impact of facing north across the bay. Sets thoughts in motion ...

Felsensicht is a wonderful house & we had an absolutely amazing time staying there. We often rent homes in & around Cape Town for long weekends & must say that your house is probably the most well maintained & organised house we have ever rented. It is extremely well kitted out with everything that we could possibly have needed & Jim, your caretaker, was a pleasure to deal with. And those views are something else! We look forward to staying there again

“Loved this house”

As a family of five seniors, we found this such a delightful place to stay. The town was interesting and located close enough to Cape Town to take advantage but enjoy a peaceful setting. Many thanks to Jim for being so helpful. Highly recommended.

We enjoyed Simonstown, the sailing in False Bay was beautiful and the weather turned out great. All in all we were very, very happy. Dear Gail, I recently stayed in your home with Johan de Bruyn, his wife and some friends from Ireland. I just want to say a personal thank you to you. I had the most relaxing few days with a little hiking thrown in just to remind me life isn’t always a lazy day on the beach. We enjoyed our stay at Felsensicht very, very much! The house is really stunning! The sea view is amazing, the room layout is great and we must admit that Simon’s Town is a really nice little town.

It was quite difficult for us to leave Felsensicht – we missed the sea, and the house. I’m sure this will not be our last stay at Felsensicht!

Every year, for the past 2 years we have stayed at Felsensicht. We were met on arrival, made to feel very welcome and shown all the facilities. The modern rooms are beautifully decorated and the kitchen & lounge have all the mod cons required to make any stay a pleasant one. This tranquil house is set upon the mountainside and has panoramic sea views. A gem in Simon’s Town.
